Over Thanksgiving break, I journeyed into the world of Harry Potter with my parents and sister. We woke up early in the morning and beat (almost) everyone to Diagon Alley, the Butter Beer, and Harry's Forbidden Journey ride. The Butter Beer surpassed my expectations; it was sweet, creamy, and left a little white mustache on everyone's lip. We deliberated for quite some time about which wands to buy, and I finally settled on Hermione's green-tinged, leaf-covered one. After dueling in the alleyways, my sister and I went off to brave the other rides in the park. On Thanksgiving day, we spent time in the hot tub before enjoying a traditional feast, ordered from the local grocery store of course! It was an enchanting, memorable vacation, and I would recommend that any Harry Potter fan check out the park!
My Thanksgiving break was uneventful except for the day after, as usual. We had my uncle, his girlfriend, my grandmother, and my grandfather from California over. We had mashed potatoes, turkey with stuffing, and salad. In my opinion, not the absolute best. There would have been more rice. Anyway, the day after we always have leftovers with all twenty of our family members and ten friends. We rent Fry’s Springs! We ran around the ballroom and the bar and ate all sorts of really good stuff. That is definitely the best part of my Thanksgiving break!
ReplyDeleteMy Thanksgiving break was a great time. I went to NJ to see my family. I went to my cousins football game they lost but it was a good game. I went to my aunts house and we had a good feast and we wached all the foot ball games. satchel

Over Thanksgiving break I had a pretty normal week without school. It would have been an extraordinary week, but I had a cold on Monday and Tuesday. Most of what I did came after Thanksgiving. On the day of Thanksgiving, I watched the Packers win (as usual), the Dolphins blow the game the the Cowboys, and the Ravens win a low-scoring game vs. the 49ers. For dinner, I had turkey, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce. I went to Gus's house for his birthday party on Friday, and we went to RiseUp, a climbing Gym in Lynchburg, I was terrible at roped climbing, and I wasn't much better at bouldering. Overall, I had a fun break, but I wish it was just a few days longer.
ReplyDeleteOver Thanksgiving break, I had a fun week. On the Friday we got off, I went up to Bethesda for a soccer tournament. My team lost our first two games and tied our last. Even though we didn't do very well, it was still fun.
ReplyDeleteOn Thanksgiving Day, I had to clean the house in the morning. My mom and dad's parents both came over to our house and we ate dinner around four o'clock(I don't know why we ate so early). The food was really good. At about eight, my aunt and uncle arrived from Ohio. We watched The Blind Side(which my grandparents haven't seen), and and then they left. I had a fun break, but I wish it had lasted longer.

ReplyDeleteOver my Thanksgiving beak, I went up to Maryland to visit a school that I might be going to when I move up to Baltimore. It was called St. James' academy, and it is an incredulous school. It was a breathtaking experience, and I hope we consider that. Then I went over to my grandmothers house in a private little community town. It is called Washington Grove, and it is basically a historic town. Since my grandfather passed away, she has a really cool new partner named Bob, who works for Apple! He is always buying the brand new Apple gadgets.
ReplyDeleteI had a yummy Thanksgiving, an dI had a outstanding break!
Over thanks giving break I went to Marthas Vineyard which is an island near Massachusetts. I went to the beach almost everyday and my uncle came. I also met my friends from there that I usually see in the summer. As usual I had turkey and other stuff that most people eat on thanksgiving. I am glad I went and it was worth getting sick and riding in a car for sixteen hours on the way back.

My Thanksgiving break was filled with both sadness and joy. The sadness was from the UVA football game when VT crushed us (my dad almost cried). We went to my grand fathers house and for some reason someone trashed a perfectly good turkey by frying it (I mean seriously who fry's a turkey)

Thanksgiving Break was great. I was at my Mom’s House. Some relatives came and we had traditional turkey, stuffing, bread, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, and homemade whip cream. The relatives that came were my uncle, my grandma, my brother, and my brother’s girlfriend. Overall, Thanksgiving was a great, exciting week. Reid
ReplyDeleteOver thanksgiving break i had a lot of turkey. Well, not really because my grandma got breast cancer and she decided that instead of doing a huge thanksgiving, we had a ''mini'' thanksgiving. We still had fun. Me and my brother threw the football out in the yard while my mom and grandma sat in the living room. My grandpa was doing the turkey. We watched NFL football.''Lion and packers.''That's what i did over thanksgiving break
